Hasbro Questions & Answers

You asked the questions and here's the answers to the 42nd batch of questions and our 1st (of 12) for 2010.

Thanks to Hasbro and Hunter PR for giving fans around the world a chance to get their voices heard and their questions answered especially here at Jedi News, the UK's premier and favourite Star Wars fan site.

Thanks for sending in your questions and keep them coming for the next Q&A which we're due to send to Hasbro TOMORROW...

Read on for the Questions and Answers...

1)  The Galactic Heroes AT-AT has been solicited and shown by Hasbro several times over the last few years, including the UK and Canadian Toy Fair last year.  When will this awesome product see the light of day (it seems like 2010 would be a great time to tie in with the 30th Anniversary of Empire)?

The Galactic Heroes AT-AT finally will be coming out to retail this Fall, scheduled for availability around August 1st.  It's a really nifty vehicle that is a perfect addition to the cute world of Galactic Heroes.

James - "We saw the final product at the UK Toy Fair and it does indeed look awesome and has some great features too - you're going to have to wait till the US Toy Fair, in 10 days time, to find out more though... Also, for those in the UK wondering - it WILL be coming here!"

2)  It looks as though we're going to see the demise of the Build-A-Droid pack-ins very soon.  These have been a fan favourite compared with some previous pack-ins.  Will we see any of these Build-A-Droid parts being reused in the future and will you make additional Droid parts available in some special Battle Pack or homage to the Vintage Droid Factory Playset?

There we some thoughts along this regard, and work had been done to develop something like the original Droid Factory that would have had elements of EpII but a feel like the vintage set with places for parts, etc.  However, the fall off in Legacy/Droid Factory figure sales led us to drop this idea.   Even thought the Droid Factory buildable figure mechanic is going away after a two-year run, it doesn't mean that this cool and fun slice of figure place is any less relevant going forward.  There is a lot of heart for it, and if we are successful in getting collectors back with the Vintage launch this Fall, the idea of doing a playset or reusing these parts in some fashion could be restarted.
